Where To Stay

Budget Option

First and foremost we need to kick off with accomodation. For the best budget friendly hotel, Motel Molly has that characteristically cool South Coast charm, with a twist. The epitome of laid-back luxury, Motel Molly’s Moroccan inspired decor and comforting colour palette will make you feel like you’re indulging without putting the purse strings under strain. Perfectly located as it’s just a walk to the beach and a mere five minute drive to Milton, Ulladulla and Narrawallee, there are also plenty of room options to choose from including 2 and 3 bedroom apartments, perfect for families as well as groups of friends or couples.

There’s a lot to love about Motel Molly!

Luxury Option

Let’s be honest, Bannisters has become synonymous with luxury accommodation in Mollymook. This legendary hotel by the sea is the epitome of coastal chic, with rooms giving upmarket beach house styled like a Nancy Myers movie. With an infinity pool, panoramic ocean views a pool bar and the famous Rick Stein’s restaurant, Bannisters By The Sea is a truly unforgettable stay.

For those travelling with kids, family suites are available!

Our perfect day in Mollymook

Now let’s get into the good stuff…

Morning

Early birds get the worm, especially on holidays! For all those who like to start their holiday bright and early head to Good Times Cafe - open at 6.30 am every morning - and grab yourself a cup of the best coffee in Mollymook. From here, the stunning Mollymook Beach is a mere five minute walk away. Take a stroll along the sandy beach and start your day with a refreshing dip in the ocean.

After your early start you’ll surely be wanting some breakfast. Ideally you would have booked yourself a table at Milk Haus (of which we highly recommend) but if you can’t get yourself a seat here never fear, Brown Sugar, Peach or Treehouse Cafe are all equally great options for a delicious breakfast. Alternatively, you can get some pastries or baked goods to go from Flour Water Salt bakery or Beurre Noisette.

Activity

After you’ve fulled up for the day it’s time to soak up the beauty of Mollymook. Considering its surfie-roots, we suggest lazing the rest of the morning away at one of the many beaches.

Our favourite beaches in Mollymook are: Mollymook Beach and Narrawallee Beach. Some other fabulous swim spots are The Bogey Hole, a tidal rock pool completely sheltered from breaking waves and Pebbly Beach, made famous by it’s resident mob of Kangaroos!

If you’re looking for water based activities beyond swimming you can try some surfing lessons, paddle boarding or whale watching between the months of May to November.

Lunch

There truly is nothing better than a long, languid lunch on holidays. If you’re after a chic, coastal vibe with fabulous cocktails and seafood overlooking the pool then we suggest Rooftop Bar and Grill, a gorgeous spot at Bannisters available to book regardless of whether you are a guest at the infamous Mollymook hotel or just visiting for a meal. You can choose to sit either indoors or outdoors (overlooking the pool) where you can then finish your lunch by pulling up a perch by the water.

Alternatively, you can venture to Cuppitt’s Estate Winery. A perfect spot for a big group of people (as well as families). This family-run winery and restaurant is the perfect place to settle in and kick back for a long lunch in their wine garden. Another fabulous option is their farm-totable dining room - which is utterly delicious.

Looking for something to take back to the accomodation as opposed to dining out? Then swing by Milton Wholefoods for some fresh goodies.

Dinner

To finish off your day of Mollymook food and activities, then we think the perfect seaside dinner is on the agenda. If you’re after a relaxed, pub-like dinner with a truly elevated menu then The Milton Hotel is a must. This venue has both indoor and outdoor seating plus a play area for kids. Don’t be fooled though, this isn’t any old pub! The Milton Hotel kitchen has been awarded one hat by the Australian Good Food Guide in 2026, making this one of the key foodie spots in town.

For something slightly more vibey, cool and quirky then head straight to asian fusion restaurant Gwylo.

On the hunt for an upmarket fine dining experience in Mollymook? Then there is no better booking than the legendary Rick Stein’s at Bannisters.

Travelling without kids and want a drink and some nibbles before your dinner booking? Then head over to Bar Yuki or Small Town Provisions!
